I'm saying that players should know and play all of the core aspects of baseball that we learn when we grow up. This isn't like asking a QB to play LB, this is simply giving guys a pass on what other players can't just pass up. It hurts the game of baseball at all levels.
These guys didn't get drafted to be major league hitters. A team would sign them to pitch even if they hit like a 90 year old, even in the NL. You know that.
Why not make all the hitters pitch then? Why'd Rick Ankiel get to stop pitching and only hit?
A lot of NFL players played 2 ways when they were in high school. Does that mean they should play both those positions in the NFL?
A 6 ft 6 guard might have played power forward or center in high school. Does that mean he should take jump balls.

Wonder if this thread can last long enough to see Arod crowned the HR king and GOAT of baseball
LOL. Thats not even a question. This is one of the greatest threads in baseball forum history.
Right up there with the xtranormal videos (may they RIP) and WIS.
