Wandy Rodriguez was sharp as nails after that shaky first inning. Only one hit allowed after those back-to-back doubles. RBI singles by Jason Castro and Chris Johnson gave the Astros a 2-1 lead. It's in the top of the 7th right now and Houston is trying to add to their lead off A.J. Burnett.

8 solid innings for Wandy Rodriguez. He's retired 14 straight Pittsburgh hitters. Astros lead 2-1 going to the top of the 9th. Wandy Rodriguez was close to 110 total pitches so I think he's done but we'll see. A good chance to see Brett Myers attempt another save (9-for-9 this year) if Brad Mills uses him in the bottom of the 9th.

ESPN Fantasy Spin: With nine saves and a sparkling 0.77 ERA, Myers is building his value, and the Astros likely will try to deal him at some point in the season. With so many closers hurt or struggling, he is one of the better end game options now.

Keep it going Brett Myers. He may land us two top prospects at this rate. Keep building that trade value, baby! LOL

The Pirates will have their best hitters due up in the bottom of the 9th.

Brett Myers time! He's in the game attempting his 10th save in as many chances.

Tabata, Walker amd McCutchen are due up for the Pirates. Come on Myers, shut 'em down!

Tabata walked on a full count (damn, that pitch was borderline). Need to get Walker to ground into a double play now.

Intentionally walking McCutchen. Bases loaded, no outs for Pedro Alvarez. Ughhhh. We need a home to first double play, pop up or strikeout now. Come on Brett Myers, you'll get out of this jam.

Pedro Alvarez flied out to left field (sac fly). Damn, 2-2 tie game.

Runners on 1st and 2nd, one out for Casey McGeehe. And Nate McLouth is pinch-hitting for McGeehe.

Brett Myers first blown save of the year. But he can still try to keep it tied and maybe pick up a win today. Not the end of the world.

Sit your ass down McLouth. Struck out. Two outs now. If that damn umpire had just given Myers the outside corner on Tabata and Alvarez with two strikes.

Alex Presley with a little dribbler past home plate.

2-2 game after 9 and going to extra innings.

I hope the Astros win this game. They really need to win a road series. Dammett, I wanted that win there. No telling how long this game may go now.

That 3-2 loss in 12 innings was such a deflater. Former Astro Clint Barmes had the two-out double that sparked the winning run off Josh Harrison's walk-off RBI single. Fernando Rodriguez took the loss in relief. We wasted a great pitching effort out of Wandy Rodriguez and Brett Myers blew his first save of the season. The Astros start a mini two-game road trip at Philadelphia tonight - Joe Blanton versus Lucas Harrell in the opener.
