do you think the o's are going to be able to build a team in the next 4 years around him that will compete for the world series?

im not going to answer a stupid question.

I will say this: I guess because a team is bad they should just trade every single good player that they get. yea right

Trading Wieters would put the franchise back substantially. You could have made an argument for Jones, Reynolds, Markakis, Hardy and pretty much anyone else. But not Wieters.
Finding a catcher that is even half his value is VERY hard.

I honestly laugh at when people say that teams should trade certain players like Wieters.
Due to your logic i guess the Royals should trade Eric Hosmer and the Pirates should trade Andrew McCutchen

i think i answered your question.
And also noone can predict 4 years from now. How do i know whether Machado and Bundy will be? they could be top tier all stars and make us contenders for all i know. Or the other way

you aren't going to answer it because you don't want to admit that you are a fan of a team that will not compete anytime in the next 4 years and having a good player is pointless.

he may put some asses in the seats over the next 4 or 5 years but he isn't going to help raise any banners.

if you trade him while his value is high you can restock your farm system so that when machado is ready he won't have to be looked at as a savior his rookie season. the o's have three legit prospects, three, and none of them have ever even played in AA. think about that for a second.

royals and pirates actually have a chance to be good in the next 4/5 years so no, my logic doesn't mean that at all. the o's aren't going to be good while wieters is a part of the team and you know it. keeping him is pointless.

restocking our farm system by trading Wieters is the complete opposite of the wy the orioles should do it, dont fucking try and tell an orioles fan who lives and breathes this team what is the "better" way to compete.
done with you, come back when you actually know what you are talking about.

so how should they do it? sign fielder, wilson, darvish, pujols, etc.? sorry, they aren't going to spend the money to sign any of them let alone 2 or 3 of them. let's hear how the they are going to compete in the next 4/5 years.

i'm telling you what the better way to compete is because it's obvious that you and your franchise have no idea how to do it.

look at tampa bay, terrible for years and years and now they are one of the elite teams in the game. instead of winning 70ish games per year over the next 4, calling up machado/bundy/etc., and continuing to win 70ish games per year the organization would be much better off winning 55ish games per year the next 4 to set themselves up like the rays did.
