Iglesias was already back down to earth. I've read plenty that he isn't anything more than a .240 hitter and will never have power.
Peavy pitched like an ace last year -- in Chicago. I really like that fact that he isn't just a rental for 2 months.
Now we just have to wait to see when Xander Bogaerts and Middlebrooks are back with the team.
Also, as important as Ellsbury is, I would of liked for us to trade him since he is going to be a FA. I really hope we don't just lose him.
Well we are more than likely going to lose Ellsbury, they want it all this year so no reason to trade him away.
Iglesias has nothing at the plate, the Red Sox played this PERFECT. He was pouting in the minors and the Sox really never liked him so they reluctantly called him up and it payed off big time. He went on the little hitting streak and drew alot of attention and boom.
I mean look at his last 16 games before the deal
Jose Iglesias' final 18 games with the Red Sox produced this staggering slash line; .167/.167/.167. 11-66, 0 extra base hits, 0 walks.
Middlebrooks will be back for the weekend I believe they didn't call him up for this series because they were still playing around and seeing if they could trade him, and Bogaerts is going to be a fucking STUD. He very well could play a MASSIVE role in the post-season.
