I just think as a DH he is a perfect fit. Reynolds, Hardy, and Jones are our three most powerful hitters and are righties. Luke can hit 30+ from the left side. He's no great defender or anything but him at DH would also be better than Vlad due to the fact he can actually play 1B or LF for a game or two and Wieters can DH more often.

We could really have 5 players hit 25+ home runs next year and that is without signing anyone and just keeping who we have now.

I think Brady training Matusz is a great thing. He worked out with Reynolds and Reimold all last year and they both turned out pretty well.

yea Scott is a sure upgrade. Ill even admit that I often forget about him (lets be honest, it was easy to forget about him this year with the injury and bad play before it anyways)
But our lineup is easily EASILY one of the most powerful lineups overall.

Matusz better be ready for some tough training, becayse Reimold and Reynolds said that the training made them a man last year (funny because Brady seems like such a low key laid back guy lol)

What do you guys think about Andino going into next year.

He has improved so damn much over the past year.
Is he good enough to be an everyday guy? Can he be the every day 2nd basemen if/when Roberts is hurt again?
Or do we just pencil him in as the super utility guy again?

Im kind of stuck on this. I know Buck really likes him, and after the past month, i cant blame him.

Andino is a house hold name now, kid literally anal raped the entire Sox team, and gave Papelbon and extra side session with lube...

I would push hard for Fielder though, then that lineup would make me shit my pants.

yea Andino has easily been most improved player this year. Remember that just last year he was DFA'd by the Orioles. Crazy that he has come this far. But he has always been talented.
AM may not have been the best GM, but he struck gold trading for Andino (LMAO Hayden Penn)

I still think getting someone to be the starting 2B, settling with Roberts, and then having Andino as the UTIL is the way to go. If they decide to go with Roberts at 2B if he is healthy and Andino as the UTIL I won't be upset though. He is going to get playing time next year regardless if they sign a 2B or not considering Hardy will likely miss 20+ games.

The only way that signing Fielder would make any sense at all would be if they went on a huge spending spree and also signed 2-3 starting pitchers to go along with Fielder. Signing Fielder alone will just help us lose games 8-6 instead of 8-4.

agree. They either need to go all in or dont bother. I expect them to go hard after a few big free agents though. If they sign them however, remains to be seen. And if Buck is GM, all bets are off on what happens. I have no clue on how he will handle trading, international, etc.

The more I think about it I think I would rather him manage and have someone hand picked by him be the GM. That way his influence is still in the dugout every game, and he will basically still be calling all the shots with the organization. He doesn't know the first thing about negotiating contracts, trades, etc.

yea i hear you on that. I'm still torn though...Either way I think i'll be able to handle the decision. I just hope he has full control over what is going on
