Rapada is UNHITTABLE if used correctly.
Patton can pitch an inning or so if needed and has been effective at times.

johnson / strop / gregg / rapada / patton is actually not all that bad of a bullpen. i mean, it's not great but it shouldn't be bad.

maybe sign someone else. i'm not talking a gregg/gonzalez type deal but see if a solid reliever can't be had on a 1 year deal for a few million or sign a couple of minor league free agent invites and see what happens.

long reliever is a complete tossup at this point.

Rapada also doesn't keep his foot on the rubber.

actually i read that article by melewski today about jj wanting to start

fuck it, give him a shot in st and see how it goes. i doubt he will stick as he was never anything great as a starter but maybe it works out. worst case scenario he starts a few games in st, doesn't do good, and goes back to the bullpen.

it sounds like that is whats going to happen.....
im kind of meh on it, but whatever...guess it cant hurt

if anything it will stretch him out, he'll be able to pitch multiple innings without worrying about fatigue, and make him happy
