I think the fan was obviously in the wrong and rightly has been banned from all 30 parks from what I hear. What I hate is when it's turned into a race thing, I highly doubt that Yankees fan threw a ball at him cause of his skin color but more so because he's a Red Sox player (and the fan is a dick).

No fans should be doing that kind of shit but unless he is explicitly saying racial slurs or something I see it as an asshole fan being a jackass.
