Asked specifically about joining Rockets' well-chronicled plans to chase Dwight Howard, Harden cracked a smile and said: "Maybe. Possibly"
James Harden Thinks Houston Rockets Could 'Possibly' Lure Dwight Howardhttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/1629960-james-harden-thinks-houston-rockets-could-possibly-lure-dwight-howardI'll be thrilled if the Rockets can land Dwight Howard and still find a way to keep Omer Asik. LOL, the new twin towers that would be. That would be a lot of fun to watch. An excellent tandem defensively, scoring and rebounding. You can play one at all times (while one rests for a few minutes), and even play the other at power forward during certain stretches of the game so they can be on the court at the same time.

While the Rockets had the third worst defense in the NBA this past season, in terms of points allowed per game (ahead of only the Bobcats and Kings), they were ranked 13th best with Omer Asik on the court. Teams would go on big runs when Asik wasn't in the game. We obviously need another difference maker inside the paint on both ends of the court.
Teams like the Thunder, Grizzlies, Lakers and Spurs would push us around inside the paint with multiple talented big men on their team.
I want to turn the table on those Western Conference teams next season. I've been desiring two big enforcers inside the paint ever since Yao Ming and Dikembe Mutombo retired. The only problem would be Hack-A-Howard and Hack-An-Asik late in games. LMAO
I'm going to go crazy waiting for July the 1st. And even once free agency negotiations begin at midnight on July the 1st, it will probably take another two or three weeks after that before Dwight Howard makes his decision. He should pull a LeBron James and make his announcement on ESPN.
