if he became GM it would be alright i guess. But if he tries to be a manager/coach i will be pissed.

and i love Randolph, he always got such bad breaks

he's not going to manage and be gm, that's ridiculous that some people even think that imo. he'll probably go with russell or randolph to manage, hopefully randolph. maybe someone who isn't with the team now that he is close with. i guess we'll find out later in the week. i actually would rather him as gm considering angelos' love for him. everyone knows buck isn't going to be anything like macphail and will demand peter opens up the checkbook both to restock the farm and to sign major league talent and im not talking about past their prime guys like lee and vladdy.

although, vlad really hasn't been bad. if he was hitting 6th in the lineup we would likely all be happy with the season he had it's just they let him bat 4th and he no longer has any power.

I agree that Buck would have clear control and obviously has more of an idea of what this team really needs.
I also would not be surprised if he brings in a guy like John Hart who would already be on the same page as him.

Either way, we will find out in a matter of days what he is going to do.

going into previous offseasons i had a bit of hope but never expected much. last offseason i thought was a little bit better than a good offseason but not a great one. i was excited for hardy, reynolds, and lee and was okay with vladdy. i think every o's fan knew vlad was a bit of a question mark and everyone in baseball knew the kevin gregg deal was ridiculous. looking back on it i still say it was a successful offseason as hardy is an elite ss and reynolds has been solid defensively at 1b as well as hitting like we all expected he would. lee was a disappointment, vladdy was a disappointment, and gregg was awful.

this offseason though i am pretty excited now that it's obvious buck has complete control of the organization. and it's not the free agency or possible trades i'm super excited for as much as changes that may happen with the minor leagues and scouting departments.

I extremely excited for the change this offseason. It was disheartening that we were led to believe that extreme and positive changes were coming, yet they did not work or come.
Lets hope the new regime gets our minor league system fixed first and foremost.

it's not even about adding players it's about getting rid of idiots like the stockstills and seeing what buck does with the coaches and instructors. it's ridiculous how all of our top prospects either end up being mediocre or terrible once they get to the major leagues.

I agree. They need to get rid of the "kyle hudson" types and get some players that show ability to play in all facets of the game.
