Five years and $118 million compared to the Rockets' 4 years and $88 million. That's $30 million more.
But it can be worked out through a sign-and-trade deal if he still wants the big money and leaves the Lakers. Perhaps we will send them Omer Asik and whoever else to get a deal done. While Omer Asik is not Dwight Howard, he's basically a poor man's version and does the same things with less athleticism.
I agree with Shaquille O'Neal. If he really wanted to stay with the Lakers he'd have already re-signed by now. Why wait until July? Dwight Howard and his agent have all the power, but if he wants to make the most money and still leave the Lakers it has to be through a sign-and-trade deal. So maybe that is why he's waiting until July.
