0-0 game in the middle of the 3rd so far. I may lose my 400 vs. 200 bet with Altuve. LOL, but it's worth it if the Astros can pull off the upset and win the series.

Philip Humber has pitched well so far. He's shut out a powerful Rangers lineup for 3 innings so far.

Philip Humber is pitching like a poised all-star. 5 shutout innings in the books. He knows how to pitch. He may have been a steal signing for us this past winter. As well as Erik Bedard who threw 3.1 shutout innings the first game to pick up the save. Why didn't any contenders pick up these two veterans? If we're lucky both will do well until the trade deadline and we'll be able to acquire a couple decent prospects for two veteran starters.

Humber looking fatigued as he reaches 80 pitches. Bases juiced, no outs for Texas. Nelson Cruz up also.

He needs a strikeout or home to first double play.

Well he got a 4-3 double play. Second to first. But Rangers took a 1-0 lead on it.

Humber is being taken out of the game at 84 pitches. He hadn't been stretched out much this spring. He pitched a good game too.

No matter what happens it is kind of a win-win for you Ryan lol

either your team loses and you get fg, or your team wins and you are happy your team won

I want to win but our offense struggles just to put contact on the ball. Already 10 strikeouts for Ogando in the 6th inning. Yu Darvish had 14 last night. Ogando may come close to his totals or pass him if he goes the distance.

Rangers win 4-0.

1-2 record. Maybe we'll get the first overall pick in the 2014 draft for a third straight year (draft another stud). I'm ready to draft Mark Appel in June this year. Carlos Correa and Mark Appel will both be on our opening day roster in 2015. Along with Singleton and Cosart. They should be starting next year's opening day.

We're going to be good soon but it sucks having to be patient.

Thats the key, patience, i hope by 2015-2016 or so, we will be one of the best teams overall and constantly contending for the World series.

until then, games like today and yesterday are to be expected.

I am not as high on Appel as everyone else, not really sure why.. just one of those feelings

We'll be 1-5 after the Athletics sweep us. Their pitching is too good and our hitters are so bad. We're going to break the Major League record for most strikeouts by an offense in MLB history this season unless we call up our talent from the minors mid-season.

I hope we call up Jonathan Singleton to start at first base after his 50-game suspension is over. 47 games now. But the Astros are not going to rush him up and start his MLB club control time. They want him to classify as a rookie next year. That is why George Springer, Delino DeShields Jr. Jarred Cosart and Paul Clemens didn't make the team as well. All of them had great springs and out-performed the guys who made the team instead.

If the goal of Spring Training is for the best players to make the team: The Astros went against that line of thinking.
