as for the everyday players hardy, jones, wieters, and reynolds are the only ones i would lock into the opening day lineup next year. reynolds at 1b or dh and only 1b or dh, the 3b days are over.
davis and andino are fine backup infielders, i'm alright with angle as the 4th of although i would pursue a free agent to fill that role, same deal with tatum as with angle.
i'm also cool with reimold in rf or lf, i'd welcome a healthy luke scott back as the dh and the dh only with open arms.
without a doubt need to sign or trade for a 2b, 3b, lf/rf. no point in signing fielder since we need pitching and improvements at other positions much more than a 1b. only way i would be happy with signing fielder would be if we also sign 2-3 starters, a 3b, and an of.
i think if we can trade markakis we can easily afford fielder + wilson + another starter as well as an of to play lf or rf. don't forget $20+ mil comes off the books this offseason from this years payroll.
