Jim Johnson is too fucking valuable to move into the rotation. I dont care what anyone says. You never take a valuable asset and change it.
He'd be such a terrible fit in the rotation.
1. He throws hard 95-98 in bullpen and still doesn't miss bats(5.73 K/9). How is that already mediocre K rate going to fare when that velocity has to slow down to 93-95 because he has to conserve energy for later innings.
2. He has a pretty intense reverse split(2.32 FIP vs LHB, 4.14 vs RHB). He has 3 pitches but his changeup is better than his curve so he fares much better vs LHB than RHB. It's going to really get exposed 2nd and 3rd time through the order too.
3. Orioles suck ballz at developing SP.
