Hendricks is just unhittable right now

Sure hope Rondon gets his shit together before playoff time. Need him and Chapman to be lights out in the playoffs.

Theo extended 5 years.

Same with Hoyer and McLeod.

Definitely worth every penny of the 5 year 50mil contract.

His contract before was ridiculous. $3.5 million / year was abou 60% of what Marlon Byrd was making that year. Less money over five years than Soriano was getting per year (not counting bonuses Theo probably earned)

I hate what the Cubs are doing recently resting guys pretty much every other day, players only playing half the games, etc. I have a feeling that's going to come back to haunt us come playoff time.

Wish they could have played meaningful games this week to get that momentum going come playoff time.

Also, Arrieta hasn't had any command of any pitches since pretty much the ASB.. slightly worried if we end up splitting Lester/Hendricks starts in a series.

They've played almost every day for over 23 weeks, you don't think having days off is good?
Sometimes I agree that it fucks up chemistry, but I think resting for garbage games is fine.

It's what they're used to is playing everyday.Having 1 day where they all rest is completely fine. However, Maddon has barely played them the past week. I absolutely hate it. Screws with a hitters/pitchers focus when they aren't playing everyday/pitchers pitching every 5th game. They will have plenty of rest when the playoffs are done. Now is not the time to turn off the gas.

I've seen that shit happen far too many times. The team playing the best going into the playoffs often time rides that.
