Matusz is broken and it makes me sad :(

he needs to get back into condition this offseason. It kind of pisses me off that he just came into camp expecting a spot, got injured, was out of shape ,etc.
now its clearly showing.

IDK it says a lot about Baltimore's player development as well. All these guys seemed to peak as prospects. Who was the last pitcher the Orioles developed that was consistently above average at the big league level, Guthrie? And the Orioles have had a slew of big pitching prospects coming since then too. Even Markakis is regressing terribly, and while Weiters is turning it around, he isn't exactly the same player many dubbed him to be.

We didnt even develop Guthrie. That was all cleveland but they gave up on him.
Honestly......probably Erik Bedard lmao...thats sad.

Our entire player development is god awful, been like that for years.
Its funny because I dont mind our draft and scout teams. they do an admirable job for the most part.

Wieters is like the least of my worries though. He is the best defensive catcher in baseball and the growth at the plate is so huge month by month that I am super excited.

but holy lol at this game....

MLBTR has an article on whether or not the Orioles should non-tender Luke Scott.
Honestly, I'd love to have him back on the team, regardless of political views. We don't have any left-handed power in our lineup, and hell, he's an upgrade to Vlad.
He was injured this year, hence his numbers not being strong... but geez, if we have power from both sides of the plate (a la Mark Reynolds), we'll be a better hitting team.

To put in shortly, Scott is an upgrade, cheaper, younger, and has the ability to play the field if needbe.
He'll be healthy next season.

i agree. since they wont get anything if they try and trade him, they might as well. If he is hitting the shit out of the ball and we are not in contention (good chance of that lol), we trade him.

and i dont care what he does off the field as long as he is not gay or in any legal trouble.
