Good for Storen to close someplace, since Nats have Papelgod.

He won't close. Osuna will.
Now Toronto can sign Upton

He should, people may not like Papelgods attitude, but he is still a leet closer.

Also, gl with Upton. I don't care who gets him so long as he doesn't come to St. Louis.

Except Papelbon didn't go to Toronto, Storen did.
So Papelbon probably will still close. I'm not sure Storen will though.

you also got the upton thing backwards too.

the cardinals absolutely want upton on their team, for a multitude of reasons.

we have a shitload of injury prone players, esp. outfielders, and upton has little to no injury history
hes young and still may not have hit his ceiling
he has a ton of raw power, something the cardinals have very little of
he immediately slots into the middle core part of our lineup where we need the most help

Not going to matter when Manfred bans the Cardinals for the postseason ;) assuming they actually would have made it.

In all seriousness though, I expect them to lose a couple picks now that Luhnow pleaded guilty.

How epic would it be if they were disqualified from the postseason

luhnow pleaded guilty? i know correa pleaded guilty on 5 of 12 counts, and they very well could lose a pick or 2.

obviously there wont be a postseason ban, but they should come down hard enough to ensure no other organization even thinks about doing the stupid shit he did.

i expect either a very hefty fine or a lost draft pick.

regardless, upton will certainly help us now and for years to come.

I think he meant Correa.
Luhnow not even being charged with anything, is he?

Luhnow is the Astros GM; completely failed on the name.
