Also, Laird has surprised me SO much this year.. I'm actually not upset when he gets playing time rofl.. but Doumit needs to go imo.

Simmons with the save today, I saw him get a lot of saves like this in Mississippi (2 hits, a walk yet still get the save). The kid has talent

To be fair Laird wasn't awful last year despite all the complaints about him (Last year he had a 281/./367/.372 slash line (I would happily take a 700+ ops from a backup catcher))

As for Doumit I could take it or leave it.. He has had a few big hits for us and having him on the roster has given us the ability to PH Gattis when Laird starts which is huge. To be fair our whole bench has been shit this year. Schafer has been god awful and I don't understand why he is on the team. Just call up Terdo to be the primary PH and Cunningham to take Schafers place.

I still brutally hate the CJ extension but the Teheran extension looks more and more like a steal with each start

Witth the 32nd overall pick in the 2014 MLB Rule IV Draft, the Atlanta Braves took Braxton Davidson, an OF/1B from TC Roberson High School in North Carolina.
Davidson is just the type of bat that many Braves fans have been clamoring for.
Several sources labeled him as having the best in-game power in the 2014 draft. (As opposed to raw power, in-game power is how well the player turns his strength into extra-base hits.)
He also has very sound, quiet mechanics for a power guy, which could eventually lead to him having a better hit tool than most power prospects.
The knock on him is his defense. Atlanta will try playing him in left field or right field, but he may be doomed to be a first baseman at the highest level. (That's not damning in and of itself, it just puts more pressure on his bat to reach its ceiling.)

weird place for a comma when you're trying to describe his talent in a fluid sentence.
