Schwarber and Emerican. You guys are understating how big the 97 wins was. The Cubs would have won every other division with that record and they finished third in the Central. Just insane. To top it off, they just eliminated the two teams that finished ahead of them in the division.

I didn't expect all the rookies to mesh so well so quickly. It's insane how good they were and even under pressure doesn't phase em. They outplayed my expectations by like 10 games. As I said this is only the start, they still have plenty of payroll to add another top tier pitcher; IE Price as I've said all along. Telling you now this offense will be better than the Bluejays in a year or two 1-8; it's stacked.

I didn't even think about that part yet. To wound up. But shit you are right.

Regardless, Doyers or Mets are gonna be tough. But Cubs have the depth and firepower. Example from tonight(theres always someone else to use as the example): Baez..... Russell out, next man up... clutch

The best part about it all. This is(should be at least) sustained success. Not a one year thing. Thats the best feeling of all.

That depends on who's pitching. If Arrieta pitches he hits 9th just because he goes deeper into games.

The only thing I'm worried about is blowing a huge series lead/eventually losing it (IE: If the Astros lose game 5 after blowing that huge lead in game 4); that can have a huge impact on a team; especially young players. Don't want a 1984 Chicago Cubs to happen to this team.

I've learned being a Cubs fan.. anything can happen at any time.

Comparing this team to any cubs to or any team ever assembled is not fair.

This team is something different. Something..... something... just special

They only exceeded my expectations because they really didn't do shit at the deadline

The fact we have made it to the NLCS is amazing.
