6-5 win over the Braves, not a bad ST so far.

It may take them time but I think they'll be there in the end. The 2005 Astros started the season 15-30 and ended up reaching the World Series. So I wouldn't necessarily panic if Toronto gets off to a slow start. I think they are very capable of doing big things in 2013. And I will surely bet on them often. Easy gucci taking Toronto especially when R.A. Dickey and Josh Johnson are pitching.

gl with that. i see them possibly struggling early as well, until they figure out who they really are. eventually tho, i see them winnining 90ish games. you said above that youd be surprised if they didnt win 110+, and thats just crazy.

100-110. That seems about right for Toronto's win total in 2013. They're loaded. Be thankful their management "went all out" to put together a winner.

Astros' Springer has makeup of CF star

23-year-old George Springer is making a good case to win the starting job in center field. He's out-performing Justin Maxwell.

So far this spring he's playing solid defense and hitting .444 with 2 homers, 7 RBIs, 5 runs scored, 2 walks and 1 steal.

He's also one of those guys who can hit lefties and righties equally as well. I remember when we first drafted George Springer in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft. At the time he drew a lot of comparisons to Hunter Pence. This kid may blossom into a five-tool player.

Definitely an early sleeper for deep fantasy leagues. I picked him up as a free agent. Not many people know who he is right now.

Him and Adam Dunn will have an entertaining race for the strikeout title.

I'd like to see Jose Altuve and George Springer hitting 1 and 2 in the lineup to start the season. Both have nice speed and we'll be one of those rare AL teams, if not the only AL team, who runs a lot, steals bases and tries to play small ball. That's going to have to be our game for now. Hustling, playing solid defense, out-running the other teams on the bases. Hopefully we have enough starting pitching to compete. Our bullpen is a big question mark.

Altuve had 33 steals last year but I felt he's capable of swiping 50. We should have more power with Rick Ankiel, Chris Carter and Carlos Pena added. We don't have to rely on Brett Wallace or J.D. Martinez anymore. We're loaded in the minors right now but some of the guys I'm drueling over are 20, 19, 18 years old. Still have a few years to grow.

George Springer and Jarred Cosart. These are two rookies to be excited about this year. We have tons more on the way over the next several years. Guys like Jonathan Singleton, Carlos Correa, Delino DeShields Jr. Domingo Santana, Ariel Ovando and whoever we draft number one overall in this June's draft. Just to name a few.

The Astros should be more exciting to watch this year. Whether that translates to a better record than the past two years. We'll see.

I'm actually looking forward to opening day. I couldn't say that with a straight face the past two or three years.

The Astros single-game tickets are going on sale at 10 AM today. I need to buy some for the series against the Yankees, Angels, Rays and Blue Jays. Also the opening series against the Rangers. I'd like to see King Felix against Seattle as well.

Marti, I feel like the Jays will be doing a lot of small ball with the likes of Lawrie, Reyes, Gose, Bonifacio.
