Agreed. Davis has a + arm, and I honestly think he's better suited for third base.
Either way, I'd be happy to have either scenario.
If Roberts is ever 100% (probably not), holy shit, our infield would be powerful.

as odd as it sounds the hitting isn't the problem at this point. signing someone like willingham, dejesus, cuddyer, etc to play LF and bat 5th/6th in the order needs to happen.

next year let reimold and scott platoon at DH, if they non tender scott just let reimold DH, no more signing past their prime vets.

if they can sign a cj wilson, carpenter, or even a buehrle the rotation and bullpen could be decent. guthrie - fa signee - arrietta - britton/matusz/tillman and put whichever 2 don't make the rotation into the bullpen.

i mean, obviously signing fielder is what i want but it won't happen and i think that a LF + #2 SP could help this team a lot.

Willingham is a terrible defender. There would be no way I would want him on the team. I would prefer Cuddyer over the three you named, but honestly, I would rather have someone in-house taking LF, i.e. Angle, because we need an OBP/SB person on the basepaths batting first. Roberts would be a great #2 hitter, and I think Jones would be a suitable cleanup hitter / 5 hitter.
Buehrle wouldn't sign with the O's, nonetheless, he is passed his prime and gives up too many HR. CJ Wilson would be awesome because he proved he can pitch in a hostile environment such as Texas.

i don't think he'll ever be an ace but he has the potential to be a starter with the o's.

haven't seen much of willingham and read that his d wasn't bad, scratch him off the list than.

i'd like angle but i doubt they will give him the LF spot, roberts i have absolutely no faith in and think he needs to retire if he really cares about the orioles to save money to spend on other FA's.

buehrle i read somewhere is connected to buck somehow, cj wilson is close with buck too.

i dunno if angle is more than a 4th OF though. but if any team could let him show that, it would be the orioles.

agree, but him and his brother have the best work ethic of any pitcher i've ever seen. I think they can go as far as they want to go. But yea a solid 3,4,5 starter is more reasonable.

cj wilson would be a solid signing if buck could lure him...

If Gardner can play for the Yankees, Angle can play for the Orioles.
If anything, we should follow their model... speedy defenders in the outfield with great arms, defense, and speed on the bases.
Angle would be better than Gardner in my opinion... just because Angle strikes out a whole lot less.
