called how big of a steal this was before the year started. paying for damn near the floor of desmond, but getting the ceiling. how he didnt get a bigger/longer contract from someone is beyond me.



picked him up late as my fantasy shortstop. loving it.

Same, He was averaging 1.9 fantasy points per game about a month into the season and I said I would give him 1 more week and he hasn't looked back since.

He's up to 3.5 Points per game good enough for the 2nd best shortstop and #14th overall on the ESPN player rater.

Pretty insane value.

From a real life baseball standpoint I would love to sign the guy he has great versatility but I think he will get a decent enough contract to leave town.

He has gotten better and better in the OF.

i dont know anything about desmonds defensive skills in the outfield. he solid?

He had some hiccups to start the year (missed some fly balls, communication etc) but he's definitely not a liability out there.

yea, im curious what contract hell demand in the offseason.

i dont think hell hit quite this well all year; im sure his avg will drop some.


but a 20/20 or 25/25 season seem more than likely.

when klubers on the mount, cleveland refuses to score runs. not surprising. giving up bombs to the 9hitter/random catcher isnt gonna get the job done though.

Yeah I remember betting on a Rays/Indians game earlier this year. I had the Rays ML and he was 1 hitting the Rays into the 8th inning and was only leading 1-0.

Promptly gives up a 2 run yack and the wheels just fell off after that lol
