Took him out after 3 innings.....on the best start of the year

I fucking hate Alex Cora

That was the plan all along before the game, wouldnt matter if he pitched a no hitter. I had the game on the radio while driving when they took him out and was going to post "what good is velasquez starting if he can only go 3..." but didnt feel like d2jspong behind the wheel 😂

3-8 isn't that bad of a record to have, all things considered. It isn't even the worst record in the league. At least we got a big west coast trip out of the way. It's common to struggle on such trips. But leading the season with one just makes the numbers look worse. If the trip has been midseason and the team was already 10 games over .500 going into it, then the 3-8 stretch wouldn't seem as alarming.

That being said, what might be worrisome is the fact that the Sox have the worst run differential in the league. They are actually lucky to have 3 whole wins. They could very easily have just one.

Now only 1 west coast trip remains and it's at the end of August (SD, LAA, COL)
Sox first team ever to open with 11 road games. Cubs opened with 9 this year but played 2 fewer games in the same amount of time

Schedule makers tried to cuck us but we'll be right back on top soon

Pedroia returns today b)

100%, it's going to be the red sox and yankees in the end no matter what the standings look like in April or May

I'm not sure what you mean. So let me ask one question to clarify:

What % chance would you give the Red Sox of finishing with one of the top 2 records in the AL East? Is that 100% to you?

Cuz I would put those odds at about 68%

I'll take the over all day. definitely not 100% though, but yeah... this team is too talented to shit the bed that bad. Won't surprise me one bit if we finish 2nd place in the AL E though. 3rd would surprise me, that would be horrendously disappointing.
