Would hope nothing more than a middle tier prospect

His value is worse than that, but the division aspect bumps it up.
He is probably unavailable to the division.

Exactly

for someone who is a defensive liability and supports nothing but an empty average, even a mid tier prospect might be pushing it. If that wasn't enough.. the price will be even higher because lolRuben thinks he is good

I would much rather overpay for a better chance at winning the World Series than have Janish at second base.

Also we could use a veteran presence for our very young team.

Well it wouldn't matter, Uggla should only be out a couple weeks. Janish is a good fit for a defensive bench piece

Janish is a veteran as well.

Yeah I'm just thinking worst-case scenario such as if uggla doesn't come back.

If that is the case I would rather go for Bloomquist. He isn't a defensive liability, will come cheaper, is a veteran and can still handle the bat pretty well.

Atlanta Braves ‏@Braves 37s
Tonight’s lineup vs. WSH (7:35, FSS/680AM/BRN): Heyward 9 JUpton 7 Freeman 3 McCann 2 CJohnson 5 Schafer 8 Simmons 6 Janish 4 Wood 1

If only Uggla and BJ could get going this team would be unstoppable
