i dont understand how he does poorly with a 97mph 2seamer
just got out of the jam with only 1r

hes not really a starter. in the pen he is dominant because thats all he needs to do. just whip a 97 mph fastball by them.
as a starter he actually has to....well..pitch

yeah, not sure wtf he was thinking... hosmer fouled 4 off in a row right before the double too
you're right, either he doesnt know how to pitch or all he has is one pitch

He just doesnt have the arsenal to start. Has a lot of long counts.
