Holy carp I forgot you guys have Derek Lee too

yea i was pretty happy about him.

Ill rank my Orioles moves this offseason:

Hardy --Gave up literally nothing lol
Lee- Stopgap for fairly good market value at 7.5 and we have NOTHING in our system for first.
Reynolds- I loved Dsvid Hernandez but Reynolds is obviously more valuable. He could be a 35+ HR guy
Duchscherer- Solid signing, although it was not a necessity. Could be trade folly or a stopgap till Britton or Tillman.
Gregg- 2 year deal for an average closer is not really my cup of tea. Not a big fan of it, but we shall see.

Didnt include minor league deals...because they are minor lol.

I really like those moves.
I thought the duchscherer one was a great one, Hardy is definitely an improvement from what I believe was Izturis? Or someone else who I remember wasn't all that great anyways.

Ryan Adams, the Orioles' second-round pick in 2006, is in camp after being left unprotected in the Rule 5 Draft. He hit .298 with 15 homers and 68 RBIs at Double-A Bowie. He set a Baysox single-season record for doubles with 43 and led the club in hits with 158. He also made the Eastern League's post-season All-Star team.

So, why didn't he get claimed in the Rule 5?

The common perception is that Adam's defensive shortcomings are holding him back. The Orioles like his bat, but they're not sure where to play him. He was primarily a second baseman at Bowie, but moved to third when Tyler Henson was injured. Adams played third in the Arizona Fall League, where he batted .265 with 14 RBIs in 19 games.

Roch couldnt have said it any better.
I like adams bat, and he could possibly be even better than andino/izzy/harris/etc off the bench as a bat...but he is a fucking butcher in the field and has no true position.
I hope he gets his Defense together this year, because he could be a decent bench guy in the near future.

Do you think our lineup would be similar to the 1996 Orioles, where we had seven players with 20+ Home Runs?
(Alomar, Surhoff, Ripken, Anderson, Palmeiro, Hoiles, Bonilla)

You think this is possible? (Jones, Markakis, Lee, Scott, Guerrero, Reynolds, Wieters)

You know I hate on you O fans, but I've come to realize after writing an article about baseball that you guys are alright. True fans stay with teams when they are on a bumpy road rather than ditching.
