speaking of WEEI, excited at the new red sox broadcasters color/play-by-play guys, Sean McDonough & Chris Berman (yes the ESPN Chris Berman) both will be doing several radio games. Lou Merloni will be doing more games as well.

Yes, correct, more or less, it's a more long and nuanced story than I'm making it out to be here (not gonna get into the whole thing, check out his podcasts if you want to know more) but that's the gist of it. & yeah, it was the right move for him, a constrained Minihane would be just a sad thing for everyone. I miss his rants and screaming and general on air antics all together lol.

Yeah those guys I mentioned are just radio only, Dave O'brien is even gonna do a few when the sox games are national (if that makes sense), it's gonna be Joe "HoF'er" Castiglione and a rotating cast of those other guys i mentioned + more names. NESN broadcasts will remain the same more or less I imagine, this is just radio i'm talking. I drive around a lot for my work so i'll usually turn the red sox broadcast on often while in season, baseball is the only sport where radio actually works nicely. you can pretty much imagine what's going on with a good announcing team.

speaking of pitching, heard earlier this week (forgot to post it here) that Steven Wright will be used as a full time relief pitcher/out of the bullpen.

Did the Yankees lose anyone prominent so far? only two names we really lost are Kimbrel and Kelly that I'm aware of (probably missing some minor pieces)

Nope

They added those 2 guys, Tulo on a minor league contract and traded for James Paxton
Obviously they got better
