all these mets fans have been bitching about having a shitty offense, so their team makes a move for one of the best all around players at his position, yet none of em seem all that excited about it.

yea if that really is the trade the braves made, then i have no idea what theyre trying to do.

lol this. I figured Mets fans would be pumped. Wheeler and Flores is not too much to give up for Carlos Gomez...

You wanted "average" offense to make you guys one of the best teams in the league. Now you got it. Now go be one of the best teams in the league.

That's cause they think other teams should trade for their lesser prospects lol..

thats what im beginning to think. they grow emotionally attacked to some of the players that are holding their offense and team back.

make up your fucking mind mets fans.

idc about flores or trading wheeler, just wondering what else was avail. for a guy like wheeler

at least gomez is signed thru and after this year..

also @ ewok, we got the real cargo aka carlos gomez aka the guy on the brewers lawl

I would've been interested in going for Parra. I think he would've been easier to obtain, and hes raking this year. Hes not a big bat, but we don't really one. Just someone that can put people on base, with decent OBP/ batting avg.

Gomez is signed for 2 years, plus if he walks, we get a draft pick, which is pretty damn good.

Padres pulled Justin Upton and Tyson Ross in the 6th

Ross had 5 ip, 2 hits, 1 er and only 83 pitches.
Upton was 2-3, 3 rbi, 1 r, and a hr

how can you sit here and say that you dont really need a big bat? how would gerrardo "4th OF" parra be the difference maker for the mets offense?

Hey fuck you guys lol.

Of course we grow attached to our pitchers. After all the bullshit lies we've been fed by Sandy Alderson about how they want to pull up payroll, and year after year they slide by putting in shitty offensive players in hopes of generating revenue from ticket sales got me very emotionally attached to the only promising things in Mets fanbase; example: our pitchers.

Either way I'm really pumped now though.

CarGo had a bad season so far, but hes been injury ridden, so we'll see how he does later on in the season.

No thanks on Upton lol. Hes basically a Curtis Granderson in my eyes.

wat we def need a big bat...still need some bats

D'arnaud coming back is going to be huge, and I'm gonna try to be an optimist and say Wright will be back early september the latest.

Duda is showing signs of turning things around, and Gomez will be huge bringing some speed into this offense.

D'arnaud and wright coming back healthy is huge. Travis should be back friday.

Another "big bat" would take this team to the next next level, but I think we should be good for a pennant race now.
