Strange to think of Cecil as a "veteran," perhaps only next to Drabek. Even if what you say is true, the opposite effect of letting them beat up on hitters are nothing like what they will see in the big leagues doesn't seem more sensible.

Veteran as in not a prospect/rookie.

AA said they want them to focus on mechanics in the minors, that facing good hitters will be the MLB challenge. Confidence will help you get better so AA is a lot better. If Toronto had an AAA team in the IL instead of the PCL, they'd likely put their pitchers there.

Farrell seems to think he needs AAA PCL for some actual challenges. His issue isn't that he can't throw the pitch it is that he has poor command, and also he can't keep his temper under control.

That being said, pretty good game tonight.

I'm going to get tickets to all three of those games, in hopes Halladay pitches one of them.

Halladay should be pitching on the last game. I can only go to one, I don't have enough money to buy 6 tickets (2 for each game) with what I need to do this summer.
