Gomez is homegrown.. he started with the Mets organization and was in the Johan deal.

Bob Starks apparently is saying the Mets deal is not finalized as of yet. They are still discussing the players involved, but it seems like Wheeler is a definite. I'm just curious as to see who it is, Lagares or Flores. I would rather keep Flores, because Lagares seems like he is what he is.

Yes, he'd probably be in the pros tomorrow for us, which would be cool.. but he's 30..
We're supposed to be rebuilding towards this "2017" year of new stadium/coaching.. yet we trade a talented young starter and top prospect middle infielder for a 30 year old middle infielder..
something just doesn't sit right with me on a trade like this. We trade away all the fan favorites towards a rebuild.. so stick to the plan.
I could see pushing for Seager, but ugh

all these mets fans have been bitching about having a shitty offense, so their team makes a move for one of the best all around players at his position, yet none of em seem all that excited about it.



yea if that really is the trade the braves made, then i have no idea what theyre trying to do.

Don't like this either. But... We have Fulmer/Montero in the wings plus Niese. Even Gee can come up lol. I wanted to keep Flores though. Or I would've been willing to throw in Lagares+Flores+Wheeler for Segura and CarGo.

Well his offense has been really bad this year, but I'm excited. I'm just a little sad to see Wheeler go.

That's cause they think other teams should trade for their lesser prospects lol..

idc about flores or trading wheeler, just wondering what else was avail. for a guy like wheeler


at least gomez is signed thru and after this year..

I'm all about trading wheeler for a bat, and I like Carlos Gomez. I guess I'm happy we didn't give up wheeler for J Up because that would've been terrible.
