22-year-old, top pitching prospect Jarred Cosart is off to a great start this spring. Two more shutout innings yesterday against the Blue Jays. That's now four shutout innings total. It's still early in spring but he has a very good chance to crack the starting rotation if he keeps it up. He definitely has top-of-the-rotation type stuff and i'm always impressed every time he takes the mound.

We may actually have a decent starting staff this year with Lucas Harrell, Bud Norris, Jarred Cosart, Philip Humber and Erik Bedard.

Rookie manager Bo Porter hasn't made it official yet, but Lucas Harrell will probably be our opening day starter against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, March 31. I'm so excited that the The Lonestar Series is now regular division games. It's a Sunday Night season opener on ESPN. Our first American League game will be on primetime TV for the entire nation to watch.

LOL, let's not get embarrassed out there. I know it will be a difficult transition into the heavily-talented AL West but we should hold our own in a few years once all of our top prospects are called up.

If we can at least keep it close, i will be happy, there is next to no chance we will win, but losing by maybe 2-3 runs wouldn't be so bad.

I love our spring training jerseys with the orange caps, sleeves and rainbow sides. I wish we wore those every game this season but I think they're only planned for Saturday home games. We have the typical white and grey, home and road jerseys with the navy blue cap and the orange star for most games.

The Astros and Yankees game is on CSN Houston right now. 0-0 in the bottom of the 4th. Carlos Pena just struck out looking. Ugh, that's our DH.

I really like Chris Carter. He has some pop in his bat and can draw walks. Today was his first start in left field. He should be our everyday left fielder to start the season.

So you're genuinely surprised that Pena would strike out? First time watching him play, I assume.

I hated the signing to be honest. I wanted to sign Lance Berkman instead. We could do without Pena. I'd much rather have Chris Carter playing his natural position at first base, Brett Wallace DH'ing, J.D. Martinez in left field and Rick Ankiel in right field.

LOVE the Puma

E/ you should do some bron8'n (1k maybe ;) ) before you guy broke on your Astros this year. As you know, I'll hook you back up if/when you go broke. I wanna change my FG to a lucky number before I start my baseball betting.

Hey Ryan, did you happen to save my Astros avatar? The one that looks like Moofys/Crispers but with Astros logo? I forgot to LOL
