hate to say it but i dont trust all these japanese pitchers coming over trying to conform...
they throw a shitload of innings then are just asked to stop, but be durable.
feel like if they came over here and were just asked to throw 300+ innings, or go on no rest, they might be okay. short careers, but still okay. (because they are used to that regiment)
now they gotta change it all and are getting hurt. tanaka, darvish... tragedy.

It's really too bad, but that's the risk you take.
Aren't they testing a sleeve that scans the arm to see what could causes so much stress on the elbow etc?
Hopefully that gains some traction, Not just darvish but alot of these guys getting TJ these days.

TJ is an epidemic these days. its crazy.
tyler skaggs just had it last year, wont be back til '16.
our rotation wouldnt have so many holes if he was filling one if them.

Forgot about him, you guys have some nice young building blocks in that rotation.

Really can't wait to see who wins the divison, I think its Angels or Mariners.
But I would be crazy to count out the A's, should be a fun year.

Maybe they'll find the next Scott Feldman who comes out of nowhere and wins 16 games or whatever.

It's been coming, they kept babying it like they knew he'd have a problem with it. Shoulda just got it over and done with last year since it was a lost cause anyways.

Cardinals did the same thing with Waino a few years back. Sat him his last 3 starts of the season due to elbow issues. Elected to do nothing in the offseason, and of course he needs Tommy John during spring training. Whole season lost.

Shit pissed me off.

Hey look at the bright side though, cardinals won the world series while wainwright was out that year!

When I was like 14, I was pitching in a game and with one pitch instead of the ligament tearing since my bones were still soft from growing, it actually snapped the bone off that's on the inside part of the elbow attached to it. Was told had I been older i prolly woulda ended up with TJ instead. So they just stuck a couple pins in it. But I guess the harder your throw according to your own body's capability, generates a greater tension on the elbow till it weakens and tears? Idk
