It was a horrible deal, and the one to trade Teix away was just as bad.

they got Kotch right? yeah lol. my two teams are Atlanta and the Yanks and they seem to do these sorts of things a lot. hey lets ship some young talent for this old guy. old guy doesn't work out, young talent excels.

According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Dempster is headed to Atlanta for a package that may include pitcher Randall Delgado.

It said Delgado, not Randall Delgado, it could easily be Dimasther Delgado who has trade value

1:51pm: Randall Delgado will be in the trade if it's completed, ESPN.com's Keith Law reports (on Twitter). The sides will also find a way to balance the money.

well there better be something more we are getting, or I am very very unhappy with this trade

although Hudson/Sheets/Dempster/Hanson in the playoffs isn't too bad

We have no idea how Sheets and Dempster are going to finish.
Sheets looks great don't get me wrong.. but who knows what could happen.
Braves went Dempster diving on this trade, I don't see much more coming from it tbh

I'd much rather have Medlen in the rotation.

Wren just made a bad move.
A clubhouse climate booster rental with 1 mediocre season under his belt.
What are they thinking?
If this is the piece that is supposed to propel us to the championship, it must be a fucking joke.
Move Medlen to SP and reap in the managerial successful move accolades.

Mediocre?

Not only do you get one of the best clubhouse guys in baseball you also get a solid starter(outside of 2011) coming from a bad team who should thrive under the winning circumstances.

Let's see...
A potential top of the rotation starter for a 35-year old pitcher who

1) Has the lowest K/9 of his career this year
2) Has a .245 BABIP, compared to his .301 career average
3) Is sitting at a 84% LOB rate, compared to 72% career average, which directly leads to
4) A FIP a full run above his ERA
5) And is sitting at 7.5% HR rate, which directly leads to
6) An xFIP 1.6 runs above his ERA

Hell of a job, Frankie.
