My concerns are less related to his bat than his catching ability. I'm not saying he's not close, and I do acknowledge we have no one else, especially since Mike Napoli only lasted 30 seconds on our roster.

Catching ability should be developed in the majors. Bats can be sent down.
When you catch in AAA you won't see tiny little breaks on pitches, they would break hard and fast so I think he is perfect where he is now. I am happy they have him here in the majors.
If he was like 20 years old I might consider that but he isn't young.

I guess he is 25 now. Still, he doesn't make me feel very comfortable when he is out there. I hope we can split the series tonight in any case.
