They messed him up by moving him to the 3 hole and taking him out of the lead off spot. Hes a great lead off hitter with an obp of near .375 right now with decent pop.
He signed a long-term contract with Texas. I agree they may as well hit him lead-off. He flourished in that role. I know it's unfair to judge Texas with all of the injuries. They can probably be good again next year which is why I don't know if they are going to do anything at the trading deadline. I was thinking they could at least clear some payroll. For the payroll they have this season and to be the worst record in baseball just seems crazy. You may as well have the lowest payroll in baseball, like the Astros, if you're going to be that bad.
