Those guys are like the best prospects for the Giants.. I think Phillies would be greatly benefiting from the trade towards the future whereas Giants benefit now.

The best prospects for us are not that great in the scheme of things. Our farm system is as depleted as it's been since I've been a fan. All of our good young players have either helped us win these 3 championships or are maturing into great players right now... Belt, Panik, Duffy, etc.

but I agree with you.

Yup.. but we have like 100 pitching prospects. Woody is one of my favs on the team though.

7:47pm: Yahoo’s Jeff Passan reports (via Twitter) that if a trade is agreed upon, Juan Lagares is expected to be sent to the Brewers in the swap. Lagares’ name has been “prominent” in talks between the two sides, Passan adds.

Fuck that would be tough...

But Gomez is better than Lagares, even though I love how much hustle Lagares puts on defense. Hes just not anywhere near the hitter Gomez is though.

I think Wood could be the best pitcher on your team. I love his pitching. Hard to give him up without at least getting Puig or Morse in return.

If for free then meh.. he tears us up and has a big bat, but he isn't the answer, nor is trading Wood in a rebuilding year.

this trade is so confusing.

i own wood and latos, and ive been contemplating dropping wood.

he doesnt strike people out like he has in the past and he puts way too many runners on.

who the fuck is going where?

and who would the braves closer be if jim johnson is traded?

morse is worth nothing at all, so i doubt thats why theyd give up wood.

Maybe by LA.

It looks like so far..
receives
LA: Alex Wood, Mat Latos, Mike Morse, Jim Johnson
ATL: Alex Guerrero
MIA: Prospects, salary relief

which imo I don't want Guerrero.
