He usually starts off slow. I wouldn't worry too much. We aren't going to compete this year with this pitching anyway.

At the draft this year, we need to draft Trevor Gretzky. Just cause. Might get more people interested in the Jays if hes in our prospect pool.

Face it, no team from Canada is going to bring in a wide fan base

During the 92 and 93 seasons when the Jays where successful they led the league in attendance. So I guess you're wrong...

he usually starts off slow? he is not a veteran guy whos been in the league 10 years.
his slow starts have only shown he may not be the guy people once thought he was

i personally think he just gets some bad luck, but he def is not the star most thought he would become.
it happens with every team, and it sucks :(

If the teams making the playoffs they will.

Its the same way with all the non big market teams in the US aswell.

If your not a big market (Sport wise, not population wise) team you need to win to draw a wide fanbase. Its not because its Canada.

Because hes not a veteran means he can't start slow? He does, in the years hes been here when he gets back on the team he always takes a while.

He has all the skills in the world to be a top player and that hasn't changed.

All I was trying to say was that Canadian teams are perfectly capable of having a strong fan base.
If the jays or raptors were contending then they would no doubt have very strong fan bases (For an example attendance rose dramatically during the year the Raptors went 47-xx a few years ago).

Oh and for teams in Canada not having wide fan bases, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a huge fan base despite being horrible the last x number of years. (That's hockey so I guess it doesn't really counts in comparison to the other four sports)

Snider started slow last year as well, he was starting to show some good improvement/consistency when he got hurt.
