You're right. We should've seen this coming.

okay smartass, what was ur contingency plan if something like this did happen? cuz obviously you didnt have one. now ur in 4th place and still losing players.
your pitching, okay i get it, no one could have anticipated it being that bad. but ur offense, how many key players have gone down and what have their replacements done?
ur not scoring a lot of runs, and you have like no power. plain and simple. 2nd to last in the AL in HRs, 11th in the AL in RS. and u play in texas...

and now u have no pitching outside of darvish.

u get what im saying tho right?
your pitching staff is a travesty, no one, no team, could ever prepare for that. but a few key players on ur offense goes down and all the sudden u guys are like one of the worst offensive teams? cmon..
its still early, i know guys can pick up. but beltre was out too before he came back, its like u guys had 3rd stringers filling in for the starters. absolutely no contingency plan for that offense.

I don't even...

The lack of power is due to the 3-4-5 hitters, not a lack of depth. There was a time we were leading the division with a lineup that looked like it was for a spring training B game. We had depth, but they got hurt too... But you're right we should have expected Soto, Kouzmanoff, Adducci, Murphy, and Engle Beltre to all get hurt.

Joakim Soria was nails in the ninth. Nice 4-3 win for the Rangers.

Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder is “seriously considering” undergoing season-ending surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck, reports Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Fielder received a root-nerve injection over the weekend and is meeting with spine specialist Dr. Drew Dossett today instead of traveling to his former home of Comerica Park for the team’s series against the Tigers. While Fielder can hope that the injection provides some relief, it won’t change the fact that the herniated disc is still pinching a portion of the nerve in his neck, causing weakness in his left arm.

Losing Fielder for the season would be another blow to a Rangers team that has been beleaguered by injuries all season. The Rangers opened the season knowing that Derek Holland would miss the first half of the season, and since that time they’ve also seen Martin Perez go down with Tommy John surgery and Matt Harrison re-aggravate a back injury that now appears to be career-threatening. The team is also currently without Jurickson Profar and Geovany Soto — both of whom were expected to be regulars in manager Ron Washington’s lineup.
