i dont see why trout is that much closer to altuve than donaldson and betts

trout and betts are damn near interchangeable to me for this season. trout has a higher OBP, but betts has a higher everything else basically


and please dont tell me youre basing it on defense, because betts is a solid defender who can more than hold his own in center. he shouldnt be hurt by the fact that his team has other good defenders like JBJ to take center, where trout is playing with an entire team of trash.

ok so theres one other decent player on trouts team. betts could still handle center with ease. theres no reason he should be discounted a chance at MVP simply because trout is awarded center by process of elimination and betts has other great defensive players on his team.


and gold gloves dont mean much sometimes. its a popularity contest for the most part.

not saying calhoun didnt deserve; i dont know for sure, havent looked.

but its like ASG appearances.
