Not with him having a serious knee injury already.

I can assure you; I would have taken Tulo in his prime/not injured over Trout now anyday. Trout may put up better numbers but the difference between finding an elite SS vs finding an elite CF is far too big. All you have to do is take a look at the stats of SS's and the lack of any elite SS that hits for power/avg/steals/and plays great defense and the number of outstanding CF's.

It's partly the same reason why Tulo was considered the best player in baseball for a few years even though Pujols among others were there.

Do I consider Correa better than Trout? I never said that but if I were BUILDING a team and I had the first pick; you take the SS over the OF'r anyday.

See I don't think that knee injury would change my mind, if i was on one side or the other

Not if it's mike trout :)

Plenty of other SS options. There are no other Mike Trouts

You're right there aren't any other Mike Trouts but there's also currently ZERO A-Rod's/Healthy Tulo's at SS. There are far better "other" options at CF that can put up respectable above average offensive numbers than there are at SS and that will always be the case. For example, McCutchen, Brantley, Pollock, Cain, Adam Jones are just a few off the top of my head.

Can you name 1 SS besides Tulo that can even put up 30 homers in a season, let alone steal 20 bags (Tulo can't do that) and play well above average SS.

IF Correa can show he can do it in a full season and put up 30 homers next year as a 21 y/o SS. There is NO doubt I would take him over Trout if I had to build a team.

You could combine all 3 of them and they couldn't reach 30 homers and without Reyes wouldn't even reach 10 steals. Tejada does have the glove though.
