But we live in a world where people get paid millions just to swing a bat so.

He could probably play defense at third or first better than some people in the league.

Exactly my point. He might not be doing the same shit if he had to play every day and couldn't be focusing on his hitting. Not to mention its not very pretty to watch A-Rod field these days.
Instead we get to see one of the greatest hitters of all time find redemption. The guy gets to play every day with no pressure and hes thriving.
Look at some of the numbers posted in this thread. It has the potential to go down as one of the greatest thread in baseball forum history.
Instead, we get to see a guy whos exciting every time he comes to the plate. A guy who is getting better every plate appearance with cutting down on his strikeout rate and becoming more efficient. What baseball is all about.

And ruin all that for what? To see managers make decisions that 95+% of the time an 8 year old could make from his living room. To see a guy batting .150 try to hit professionally thrown baseballs. Honestly, theres a chance that I'd prefer to watch soccer than watch a pitcher hit.

I'd argue that Colon is one of the most entertaining hitters in the game today. He gets the biggest ovation, thats for sure.
