740 AM is still the flagship station in Houston - 1010 AM in Spanish. Here's the complete list of radio stations that broadcast the Astros.

Alpine, TX KVLF 1240AM
Austin, TX KVET 1300AM
Big Springs, TX KBYG 1400AM
Brenham, TX KWHI 1280AM
Bryan/College St., TX KZNE 1150AM
Carthage, TX KGAS 1590AM
Columbus, TX KULM 98.3FM
Corpus Christi, TX KSIX 1230AM
Crockett, TX KIVY 1290AM
Fredericksburg, TX KNAF 910AM
Henderson, TX KWRD 1470AM
Houston, TX [Flagship] KTRH 740AM
Houston, TX [Spanish] KLAT 1010AM
Lake Charles, LA KEZM 1310AM
Livingston, TX KETX 1440AM
Lubbock, TX KJDL 1420AM
Lufkin, TX KSML 1260AM
Marshall, TX KMHT 103.9FM/1450AM
Mc Allen, TX KSOX 1220AM
Minden, LA KASO 1240AM
New Orleans, LA WSLA 1560AM
Orange, TX KOGT 1600AM
San Antonio, TX KRPT 92.5FM
Shreveport, LA KSYB 1300AM
Temple, TX KTEM 1400AM
Victoria, TX KNAL(KVNN) 1340AM
Waco, TX KBBW 1010AM

Every now and then you can catch a game on-line through a free stream on the official broadcast of any of those stations (go to their official website), but most of the time they are blacked out under MLB rules. They want you to purchase the audio broadcast on MLB.com.

Gio Gonzalez with the two-hit shutout over seven innings (8 strikeouts). I thought they may have pulled it out in the ninth against a shaky Brad Lidge (double, walk) but he got three straight outs to preserve the 1-0 Nationals' win after two Astros reached base. That's two losses in a row against two elite starting pitchers in Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez.

I just hope the 4-7 Astros salvage one or two games in this four-game series (don't get swept). Lucas Harrell versus Jordan Zimmermann tonight and Bud Norris versus Edwin Jackson tomorrow night. They've got a chance to win at least one of these games if they keep playing hard.

The game just started on FSN Houston. Facing Zimmerman is going to be tough but it's been raining with sloppy field conditions. Hopefully nobody gets hurt out there. Perfect night for an upset, especially in front of a practically empty stadium during the middle of the week in Washington D.C. This home plate umpire just called a strike three on a pitch two feet wide of home plate. He must be trying to speed this game up so they play five innings.

What just happened? I switched the Astros game to the Rockets game and missed the ending. Houston led 2-1 in the middle of the 8th after Jordan Schafer put them ahead with an RBI double. He also made a great play in center field earlier in the game. I turn it back and the Nationals won 3-2 with the final out in the top of the 9th by Henry Rodriguez. They obviously scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th.

Just hope it wasn't off Brandon Lyon. Checking the box score now and it was Fernando Rodriguez who lost the game (oh well). One Rodriguez shuts it down and the other one doesn't. Sigh, 4-8 record now. Another nailbiting loss by one run. The Astros can't do any worse in the American League next year.

Looks like Wesley Wright and Rhiner Cruz blew the game but the two runs are charged to Fernando Rodriguez.

Nationals Bottom 8: Two runs, three walks, one hit

D Espinosa walked. 2 1
R Zimmerman singled to right, D Espinosa to second. 2 1
W Wright relieved F Rodriguez. 2 1
A LaRoche walked, D Espinosa to third, R Zimmerman to second. 2 1
R Cruz relieved W Wright. 2 1
J Werth walked, D Espinosa scored, R Zimmerman to third, A LaRoche to second. 2 2
R Ankiel grounded into fielder's choice to second, R Zimmerman out at home, A LaRoche to third, J Werth to second. 2 2
W Ramos hit sacrifice fly to center, A LaRoche scored. 2 3
R Bernadina flied out to left.

Lost the game because of walks. One RBI walk and a sac fly. That sucks. Typical Astros.

Sports radio 610 plays almost all Houston related games. Although if there's a Rockets game on, it generally gets aired over an Astros game.

Bud Norris better be on his A-game tonight. I want to avoid the four-game sweep.

I don't remember the last time the Astros scored 11 runs and pounded out 17 hits. That was some game they played last night. A very nice 11-4 win over the Nationals and now the Astros are 5-8 on the season. I heard they had a team meeting prior to the game after losing four games in a row, and whatever Brad Mills told them apparently worked.

24-year-old J.D. Martinez has a good chance to make the all-star team this year. He's off to a great start: .326, 3 HRs, 12 RBIs and an OPS over 1.000

He's young but I think he's the best left fielder the Astros have had in a long time. He''ll be the veteran and team leader once the Astros call up their top prospects: Jonathan Singleton at first base, Delino DeShields Jr. at second base, George Springer in center field and Ariel Ovando in right field. I'm already looking to future years ahead - two, three, four years down the road. Houston has some amazing talent not far off from the big leagues.

19-year-old Delino DeShields Jr. is our second baseman of the future even though 21-year-old Jose Altuve has some potential. Very good defensive play and he's hitting for high average this season. I've been more than pleased with Altuve's play. He's been one of the real surprises to me.

A little disappointed with Bud Norris' start last night. He gave up 4 earned runs, 10 hits, 6 Ks over 6 innings. He didn't walk a lot but 108 pitches and he labored quite a bit. I'd like to see him reach the 7th or 8th inning with a better pitch count next time. He got the win and he's 1-0 but I have high expectations for him this season.

Look for the Astros to call up Paul Clemens and Jarred Cosart some time this season.

The Astros enter the three-game home series with a 5-8 record and the Dodgers are 10-3

Friday: April 20, 2012 - LA Dodgers at Houston - 8:05 PM Eastern
Ted Lilly (1-0, 0.00) versus J.A. Happ (1-0, 3.75)

Saturday: April 21, 2012 - LA Dodgers at Houston - 7:05 PM Eastern
Clayton Kershaw (0-0, 2.35) versus Kyle Weiland (0-2, 8.44)

Sunday: April 22, 2012 - LA Dodgers at Houston - 2:05 PM Eastern
Chad Billingsley (2-0, 1.33) versus Wandy Rodriguez (0-2, 1.96)

The Astros will be underdogs in every game. I think they have a chance on Friday and Sunday if the lefties get it done.
