i don't know why but on firefox it show's two bettor status' then when you refresh it goes back to one. i only have the script installed once.

I had this issue a few days ago/last week. At first I thought it was the plugin itself, so I went and started disabling a bunch of plugins I didn't need. Didn't fix it, so I figured I might have spyware/virus that is slowing the PC down. Tried scanning and nothing came up.

Basically what the problem was is I updated my AVG anti virus, and that is when the issue arose. I tried shutting those down and it still didn't fix, so I noticed that the update installed a AVG plugin thing inside your browser (FF in this case), so I disabled that, restarted FF, and then bam issue resolved. For some reason it makes FF's CPU usage spike up big time, and disabling the AVG plugin fixes the problem. Hope that is your issue.

Also, it would sometimes show like 5 Bettor Status's, under just one user...and made all websites load slow as shit. Like MLB.com took forever to load up...

Would be like

I did, posted a fix if it's the same issue. I recommend doing ctrl alt del and looking in your processes and seeing how high the CPU usage is for FF, it seems to be high usage = laggier FF = laggier Bettor Status plugin load = creating multiple ones every time refreshed. Generally seems to be the first time you go into a fresh thread (refresh once/couple of times and seems to be load just once like normal).

hmm sounds like they have some type of memory retention in their program. They need to free it up, they will prolly have an update for it soon. Either way I never install any toolbars (and disable ones that install themselves) because all it does is waste memory.

Well, I didn't really think of it when I installed the update, since I usually do the custom install to see what they are installing, but I remember I glanced over it and was like whatever can't hurt. Took me a few days to figure it out, and pissed me off because I tried to ignore the issue but it really made threads/web sites load slow as shit. Was also a little tricky since I disabled/exited my Firewall (Comodo) and Anti Virus (AVG) to see if they were causing the issue, since both were updated recently. But the actual plugin in FF was not disabled, so that's the thing to look for.

I might try running it through a proxy to slow down the response some time so i can track down why it shows repeated statuses.

Well for me the issue is completely fixed, and I don't believe it's an issue with slow internet connection, because my internet is slow as shit and it loads fine now. I'm willing to bet locuno1's issue is similar to mine.
