I think most of us knew (including dm) that this was going to be a good/long series. The Phillies are better than the mets but the Mets are hot

You play to win game two. Nola gives you a better chance to win game two than Sanchez. It isn't hard.

Now who gives us a better chance to win game 3...on the road 😏

This is why it worked so well. Now you're in a great spot still with Nola taking the mound game 3. Instead of Sanchez, in his playoff start debut, on the road who would get absolutely rocked.

Nola and Suarez lined up for the two games on the road? Yes please. They're built for that. Sanchez isn't (yet). And then Wheeler ready for game 5 if needed.

Yes it worked out absolutely amazing. And ofc I'm fucking happy it did. It's just such a huge gamble. I hate Nola but I like him better than Sanchez in game 2. Concentrate on winning game 2. You win game 2, it doesn't matter what happened on game 3. Your way, you lose game 2, the series is pretty much over.

But it's not over even if they lost today...because you still have Nola.

If they lost today with Nola...then they'd be screwed lol. Sanchez is an entirely different pitcher at home vs the road. Nola is pretty consistent home or away. It matters where Sanchez pitches, but it doesn't matter where Nola pitches because he's a playoff veteran.

Use Sanchez where he's good, at home, like they did today. Don't ask him to make his playoff start on the road in NY. I absolutely love the decision to give him his postseason debut at home. He did well too.

Anyways. Fuck the Mets!!! 😎

Side note: Schwarber is currently 4th all-time in MLB history in postseason HR's. One more and he will be tied for 3rd. Look at how many fewer games and AB's he's done it in. Wild.
