montero hasn't looked good at all in any games ive seen. a nice double here and there but nothing special. he looked pretty good last year though.
I doubt his skills have deteriorated over the winter. Probably just a lack of interest down there for him right now. He was one of the best hitters in the INT league last year as the second youngest position player in the league and yet the front office decided he needed to repeat the level... Even Mark Newman(Yankees Senior VP) said that he doesn't look challenged in AAA right now.
