i dont like being ranked 1 tho... bad luck

wanna fly under the radar like 2 yrs ago, when the reds were suppose to dominate the division and the cardinals were predicted to finish like 4th in the central (including houston).

Great things are ahead but it's going to be 2016 or 2017 at the earliest.

I expect more rough sledding in 2014 and 2015 but not nearly as bad as the past three seasons.

Several things to know about the latest “30 for 30” lite offering from ESPN that airs 7 p.m. Sunday:

It’s a 22-minute effort called “The Deal” and it focuses on the Rangers’ Feb. 15, 2004 trade of Alex Rodriguez to the New York Yankees.

The Rangers come out as bit players in the tale, which focuses on the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry.

It’s slick and well done and reminds where the Rangers ranked, and 10 years later probably still do, in the ESPN’s baseball world -- not in the same East Coast baseball stratosphere as the darling Yankees and Red Sox.

You may recall that the Rangers had a deal in place to trade Rodriguez to the Red Sox for Manny Ramirez but it couldn’t get baseball’s approval because of the economics.

So they traded him to the Yankees for Alfonso Soriano and Joaquin Arias.

Naturally, there is lots of Red Sox handwringing over losing Rodriguez to the Yankees.

That the Rangers could have had Robinson Cano, as then general manager John Hart acknowledges in the piece, rather than the journeyman Arias does get a mention but no time for handwringing.

This pains me so much, Can't wait to watch though.
