Finally getting game updates on my phone again.

First thing I see: M. Bourn homered to right.

Braves Acquire Juan Francisco From Reds
By Zach Links [April 1, 2012 at 11:00am CST]
The Braves acquired third baseman Juan Francisco from the Reds in exchange for right-hander J.J. Hoover, according to a press release from the team.

Francisco, 24, has appeared in 81 games for the Reds over the last three seasons, posting a slash line of .284/.331/.450.  The left-handed hitter was out-of-options and MLB.com's Mark Sheldon writes that he showed up to camp overweight and did not properly rehabilitate a right calf injury that he suffered over the winter.

Hoover, 24, will report to the Reds' Triple-A affiliate.  The 6'3" hurler split time between Double-A and Triple-A last season, making 14 starts and 29 relief appearances.  In total, Hoover registered a 2.64 ERA with 10.0 K/9 and 3.4 BB/9 in 2011.

I didn't even know this happened..

The Indians announced that they acquired right-hander Jairo Asencio from the Braves for cash. The right-handed reliever led the International League in saves in 2009 and 2011 and posted a 1.81 ERA with 11.5 K/9 and 3.6 BB/9 in 54 2/3 innings at Triple-A last year. Asencio is out of options.

All these moves make so much sense lol. Asencio was out of options and id rather get cash for him and nothing, and Fransisco has tremendous power and solves the problem at 3b for the first few weeks

They don't make so much sense, stop falling into the Braves "settling for less" scheme.
They said Francisco isn't in shape and shit.. I'd rather just pop Prado in there and have Hinske at Left... I mean I don't want Diaz playing but we don't have another platoon or a solid LF
We need an answer at LF more than 3B.. our farm has no 3B or OF with production either, we should have traded one of the big 3 when we had the chance.
I see Teheran being a mediocre starter, but nothing more.. hopefully I'm wrong. I see the most depth with Minor and Beachy but they are older..
Idk, I just don't like the moves we do a lot of the time (I loved the Uggla and Bourn acquistions), but I think it's the Falcons offseason which is throwing me off

It does too make sense lol, I would much rather have him in there rather than Hinske, althewhile maybe getting a player who can put it all together and become a decent 3B or LF with power, and we traded from a position of strength.

JJ Hoover doesn't have a ceiling, but Juan Francisco isn't much either
