Cubs fans what is your take on Torres? It must be fun to have a bunch of stud prospects and young solid players.

Torres is gonna be a stud too. He might be better than Russell but he's stuck in the minors cause the Cubs have guys locked in on the middle of the infield. Yankees got a great player

You are nuts. Absolutely nuts. Never no way fuck no

Yes, as much as I love Schwarber.. I don't trust he will ever be able to catch again after the injury and I'm not sold on him in LF defensively; he's a liabilty and a DH that can rake. There's no question about his bat but he's gonna give up a shit load of runs defensively. I'd rather have the years of control of Miller and have kept Torres to trade next season or during the offseason for another piece rather than give up a shit load of 2 months of Chapman.

Granted that would all go out the book if they can get him to extend or sign him in the off season.

This team is built for the next 4-5 years with or without Schwarber. Miller would have addressed a HUGE need for the next 3 years.

Baez has shown to be more than capable of a replacement for Schwarber offensively and providing way better defense.

I prefer Torres to Schwarber myself but the Yankees seem to think he will hit 60+ HR's in Yankees Stadium :shrugs:.

The guy I really wanted back was Baez, though.
