Apparently Angelos reallly reallly wants Vlad, as he has forever.

If the Orioles did indeed sign him, I would be ecstatic. That would be one fierce lineup we would have.
Ofc he would also cement the DH role, making Scott our fulltime LFer, with Reimold presumably being trade bait or AAA bound

Though I am a big supporter of having Vlad on the team, I hope it means we trade Luke Scott. Then we'd have another problem of not having LH Power.
If we sign Vlad to become full time DH and Luke as full time LF, I think the Orioles would be the team that finishes last in Stolen Bases.
Whether it's Pie or Reimold, we know we're going to have a stolen base threat. As it stands right now, It'd be Roberts, Reynolds, Jones (if he stops getting caught), possibly Greek God.
Thoughts?

I honestly think we still come near the bottom of the league regardless. Buck doesn't like giving up outs. I personally am tired of waiting on Pie and Reimold. I want to have full production and Vlad may be a problem having to only DH but he would no doubt make this team better. Scott is not even that bad in LF. He is average (as a fielder i mean).

SB are overrated i think anyways. You only help the team if ou steal successfully like 80% of the time or higher But yep, Only Roberts/Reynolds/and a little from others would be our SB threats lol

That's actually a pretty good lineup. Pie as 4th OF and Reimold to AAA.

Scott really isn't bad in LF. Pie has more talent than him defensively for sure BUT Scott is more consistent. Pie will make an insane diving play one inning than misjudge a ball the next inning and give up a double that should have been an easy out.

I know he didn't do good in the 2nd half of the season last year but he would be a good fit for our lineup. Even if he played like he did in the 2nd half he would still be a lot better in the lineup than Pie.
