I would not trade Wheeler for Gomez, if anything I don't get rid of Wheeler, because I believe Wheeler has the next best stuff next to Harvey, DeGrom.

Thor/Matz can be better, but Wheeler has the nastiest stuff, just needs to learn control.

I'd rather have Cespedes or Ozuna with that amount of > rather than Gomez.

The Brewers are going to want a lot more for Gomez. Cespedes is a rental, and he is going to be want to be paid. But if we get far with him, maybe Cespedes would re-sign, or at least be willing to do a decent contract.

I'm not saying Cespedes is better than Gomez, although he definitely has a high ceiling. Just that the cause of prospects and return for Gomez is not going to be worth it. Cespedes at least is going to be sold below his market value simply cause the Tigers aren't going to give him a 15-20+ mil contract which he'll certainly get.

Honestly, I don't care who we get. I want either.

Only problem is like I said Gomez is going to be worth a lot more.

If we give up Wheeler, I'll be very pissed and sad. I always felt like Wheeler could be an Ace, and if healthy with the full retention of control would be a pitcher better than Harvey.
