If he had gotten as many PA as most everyday catchers this year (~280 PA or so on average) he'd have around 21 HRs right now at his current pace, and in a full season 40+ (based on 550 PA) with over 100 RBIs.

It's unrealistic to expect that from him going forward though. He's going to strike out a ton, and walk very little. But damn the kid has power. I'd like to think he'll hit 25-30 yearly

what do you like/dislike about pacheco?

Hes quickly becoming my 2nd favorite rockie because all the games ive been to hes played SS/3B and his (heres where you most likely disagree with me) defense has been so damn good over there, and hes been doing well at the plate (from what ive got to see)

He's alright. I like him. He's a utility player (one that can play catcher is extremely valuable) going forward. He needs a lot of work defensively at third, but he has improved. He's pretty much a singles hitter, but he doesn't strike out a ton so he's not a blackhole in the lineup. He's not a .300 hitter, but he should stay around .275-.280 which is good for a utility player.

So yea he should be on the roster for awhile, just not a starter. There's no room for him to start next year

it bums me out how much you know, cause i dont know all this stuff so hearing you say "no room for him to start, wont start everyday, etc etc" just makes me go
